Utsavé is operated by Utsav Events. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. Contact: contact@utsav-events.com.

Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register.

Pro access requests: If you apply for Pro access, we collect your email address and US phone number. These are used solely to verify your identity and contact you about your request.

Event data: Event names, dates, locations, messages, and cover images you choose to upload.

Guest data: RSVP responses (name, email, attending status) submitted by your guests.

Photos: Images uploaded by hosts or guests to galleries.

Usage data: Standard server logs including IP addresses and browser information, used for security and troubleshooting.

• To authenticate your account and maintain security
• To review and respond to Pro access requests
• To send you transactional emails (RSVP notifications, Pro request status updates)
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Phone numbers collected during Pro access requests are used exclusively for account verification and to contact you regarding your Pro status. They are not shared with third parties and are not used for marketing. You may request deletion of your phone number by contacting us.

We share your data only with:

• Supabase (database and storage hosting) — our primary data processor
• Email service providers — to deliver transactional emails
• Vercel — for application hosting and serving

All processors are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only as directed by us.

We retain your account and event data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is deleted from our systems within 30 days. Guest RSVP data linked to your events is also deleted. Pro request records are retained for 12 months for audit purposes, then permanently deleted.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

We use session cookies to maintain your logged-in state. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may prevent you from logging in.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level database security. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Utsavé is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
